produces products for the accurate planning and placement of dental implants:
a) Scan2Guide (S2G), a
virtual environment for the planning of the optimal placement of
dental implants

Surgical guides to ensure accurate implant placement based on
the pre-surgical plan executed on ImplantMaster or Scan2Guide
software

protocol of implant manufacturers
d) ImplantMaster, a full-feature version of
Scan2Guide for use by iDent distributors and partners
.
How
does the iDent process work?
1. Scan appliance produced for patient
by dentist/laboratory.
2. CT scanning of patient and template.
3. CT scan diagnosis and implant planning utilizing Scan2Guide software.
4. Scan2Guide generates a design of the surgical
iGuide which is e-mailed to a iDent or a licensed manufacturing
location.
5. iGuide is manufactured by automated rapid manufacturing processes
(no technician involvement) and returned to dentist.
6. Easy placement of implant using iGuide
Are Scan2Guide and
ImplantMaster FDA approved?
Yes.

Materials
& Sleeves
What
materials are used to manufacture iGuides and iTools?
iGuides are
manufactured from medically approved acrylic resin. Drill sleeves are medical grade titanium tubes.
iTools are made of stainless steel..
How
tall are the guide sleeves?
5mm. The end of the sleeve contacts the soft tissues.
Why is surgery easier using iDent?
The correct angulation is built into the guide and the exact length is known from the top of the sleeve to the apex of the implant. Many surgeries can be done flapless.

What
is the turnaround time for iGuide delivery from time of order?
Normal service is 5 work days. Expedited service is available in some areas in 48 hours. iDent Partners may offer shorter delivery times – please contact an iDent Partner.
What
diameter drills can be used with iGuide sleeves?
Most
regular implant diameter drills from major companies can be used.
Any custom sized (non-standard) drill diameter is available by
special order. Delivery times for customized drill diameters
should be verified in advance with an iDent representative or
partner.

Clinical
Is flapless surgery possible?
Yes, in most cases,
resulting in less pain and swelling for patients, and faster implant placement.
Do
we suggest soft tissue punching prior to flapless surgery?
Yes, although no research is available showing transgingival surgery to be detrimental. Punching can be done through the guide.
Are
the iGuides sterilisable?
Yes, by cold sterilization. Ethylene oxide sterilization is possible.
iGuides are delivered
non-sterile.

How are guides
supported in the mouth?
iGuides can be
tooth or soft tissue supported.
Can guides be fixed in
the mouth?
Yes. The fixation sites can be
planned with the implants, and incorporated into the guide.
Can angled implants be
used?
Yes. Angled implants can be
planned to use the maximum length of implant in the available
bone.

Is iDent suitable for
fully edentulous cases?
Yes. There is no limit to the
number of implants planned. A full jaw restoration using 4 or 6
implants can also be planned using angled implants.
How many iTools do I
need?

Can implants be
inserted through the guide?

can the patient get a CT scan done?
At dental scanning centers or at most modern CT scanning facilities (radiology center or hospital) with a multi-slice scanner. iDent will verify that the scanner you wish to use is compatible with ImplantMaster software and supply the scanning site with the CT protocols required to be used during the scan. The iDent system is compatible with most cone beam CT imaging systems.
Is

Can
my own laboratory make the radiographic template?
Yes, simply, according to the iDent protocols supplied to you. Your laboratory can indicate on the template where the ideal position of the restored teeth should be from a functional and aesthetic point of view. This information can be related to in the planning.
A successful iGuide will only be produced

Yes - your laboratory can use the iGuide to prepare a restoration for immediate loading. In addition, after the surgery the iGuide can be used as an accurate impression tray for the pick-up impression.
What
are the benefits of ImplantMaster/iGuides?
a) ImplantMaster and Scan2Guide use native DICOM images directly from most CT scanners - no pre-processing is required.
b) ImplantMaster and Scan2Guide allows for the link between virtual surgery and reality to be achieved accurately, reliably, predictably and rapidly. Once the surgical guide has been created by
Scan2Guide, only the guide data needs to be sent to the iDent or its partners. The manufacturing process is automatic and not subject to manual intervention.
c) Ordering of the iGuide is achieved by sending
a digital file by email.
d) iGuides are assured to fit both edentulous
or partially edentulous cases.
e) The dentist can inspect the digital image of iGuide
prior to ordering.
